On the Anniversary of Sardasht Chemical Bombing

.

On June 28, 1987, Saddam Hussein unleashed a rain of chemical bombs, provided by the western countries, on the innocent civilians living in Sardasht, Iran. The indiscriminate shelling, that happened at the silence of the western countries, left 110 martyrs & wounded more than 8000 others.
The chemical attack on #Sardasht took place as a result of collaboration, complicity & silence on part of the US and Western countries, especially Germany, as well as their silence toward the aggressor.
The silence of Western governments for more than thirty years toward the brutal attack of the US-backed regime against the people of #Sardasht proves the West’s double standards regarding human rights and their support for state terrorism and dictators.
The countries involved in killing of innocent civilians in #Sardasht and other Iranian cities bombed by chemical weapons have neither bothered to apologize, nor have they been held accountable for their monstrous crimes.
36 years later, the survivors are still suffering from the severe & the long-term effects of those chemical weapons and losing their lives.
